Beirut, Lebanon (Thursday) – Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has issued a stern warning to Israel, stating that the recent series of explosions involving pagers should be considered a declaration of war.
In his Thursday speech, Nasrallah expressed shock over the unprecedented incident, in which over 4,000 pagers distributed among Hezbollah members reportedly exploded simultaneously across Lebanon on Tuesday night. The Hezbollah chief held Israel responsible for the blasts.
Nasrallah condemned the attacks, emphasizing that they crossed a red line by targeting civilians rather than fighters. He warned that Israel’s actions could lead to severe consequences and further escalation.
Hezbollah, a powerful armed group in Lebanon, has had a long-standing conflict with Israel, with tensions often spilling over into military confrontations.
The group now calls for international attention to the incident, describing it as a significant escalation in the ongoing regional tensions.
