Mercedes-Benz has launched the new-generation E-Class Long Wheelbase (LWB) in India, with prices starting at ₹78.5 lakh for the E200 variant. This version is specifically designed for the Indian market and is available in three variants: E200 (petrol), E220d (diesel), and E450 4MATIC. Prices for the E220d and E450 4MATIC are ₹81.5 lakh and ₹92.5 lakh, respectively.
The new E-Class LWB has grown in size, with a wheelbase of 3,094 mm, enhancing rear-seat comfort. The interior boasts luxurious features like a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 17-speaker Burmester sound system. The car also offers reclining rear seats with neck pillows and electrically operated sun blinds, emphasizing rear-passenger comfort.
The LWB comes with two engine options, including a 2.0-liter petrol engine (204 bhp) and a 2.0-liter diesel engine (197 bhp), both equipped with a mild hybrid system. The E450 variant has a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 engine, generating 381 bhp.
